Gith warlocks in Dungeons & Dragons are individuals of the gith races (either githyanki or githzerai) who have forged pacts with powerful extraplanar entities to gain access to arcane power. This pact typically involves serving the patron's agenda, which can range from subtle manipulation to overt acts of war.

Unlike wizards who study magic or clerics who gain power through deities, gith warlocks derive their abilities from a patron. This patron could be a powerful fiend, a celestial being, a Great Old One, or even a sentient weapon like a Hexblade. The specific powers and abilities of a gith warlock are largely determined by the nature of their patron.

The motivations of a gith warlock can vary greatly. Some may seek power to advance their personal ambitions, while others may be driven by a desire to protect their people or fulfill a prophecy. The relationship between a gith warlock and their patron is often complex, fraught with both opportunity and danger.

Due to the inherent distrust between the Githyanki and Githzerai factions, each faction is usually distrusting of any magic that isn't the traditional Psionic powers that are inherent to them. Warlocks may be outcasts of these civilizations.
